Seems about in line with the market, probably a decent deal actually. But I think in reality it's just too much money to spend on the old platform. The s197s are just so much more/better car.

CRACK PIPE

Let's break it down:

" Adult Driven ": I avoid racing kids in Civic by taking it to the drag strip every other week from May to October

" Some Bolt-On's ": of unknown provenance. Judging from the STL suburb and slammed ride height, I am going to assume these Bolt-On's were picked-up for half-off via the "For Sale - No Dealers" section off whatever Mustang-branded, vBulletin-powered site this guy stumbled across through Google.

" 65k (miles) ": some of them spent screaming down I-64 at 3AM in March chasing down a GTR because "she just runs so much better with this cold, thick air".

At the end of the day, it's a chassis from the 70's subjected to power from the New Millennium and beat on by who knows how many prior owners. It'll be a hoot, but - because this is the kind of car that attracts someone who can only afford one car - you'll always be listening for the new rattles or taps or clicks. You'll never quite wind it out because you're afraid of breaking it. The tires will wear quickly, and unevenly, and you'll start to fret during those waterlogged commutes home in late summer as you hydroplane at 55MPH on the highway, four ways flashing uselessly to alert everyone to what a stupid choice you made.

Better to save your pennies now and buy something truly awesome next summer.

"Adult driven" technically just means the driver is at least 18.

Not bad at all. You'd have go be in a GT500 or a 2011 reboot SN197 to find something better. You obviously have to get it and the bolt ons looked at thoroughly though.

Ya I do have a 2011 GT right now but I'm looking for something else really.

I guess that's a nice price. I still think they go for more then they should though.

The tuner and pulley bother me, I would try and find out what brand those are. I've been very happy with my Steeda Tri-Ax. It shifts great.

You have the independent suspension benefit but you won't be noticing much power difference otherwise. Something just make you want the have the SN195?

Well I love the Mach 1's and the Cobras just want a nother collector thing next to the torino

That makes sense. I do think they've got a fair bit of collector cachet.

Ya that flew right by me! I drive a Mach everyday, and while no Cobra it's nothing like that! It's been a long day.

Dude, I've got a recession era Chrysler held together by good intentions and poorly designed plastic fasteners. I would have written a nearly identical rant about anything.

It's all for the lulz, you know?

Haha! My Dad had an early 2000's 300M and I know the feeling.

And I'm not going to lie, I've seen some Mustangs that fit your exact description....
